hello!earth creates participatory cross-disciplinary art works with relational approach, where the presence of the audience is the co-creating and central element. The works are designed situations to experience, sense and do.
hello!earth insists on that art is a laboratory space where new thoughts and ideas can become reality, and where we together create the world, instead of consuming it.
Our body of works includes participatory journeys in urban space and nature, site-specific installations & interventions and do-it-yourself performances, unfolding on your mobile phone. Often the works are location & context based and developed in collaboration with very different partners, from professional artists to biologists, social scientists, philosophers, and people from the neighborhood. In the creation process, we attempt to dive under the surface of the surroundings we are working in, mapping the social, cultural and political realities of a place or situation. The making of artistic work, research, development, community engagement and teaching professionals become integrated parts of each other.
hello!earth is Vera Maeder and Jacob Langaa Sennek & collaborators.
