VIAEUROPEA - WORKBOOK N°1
partager sur facebook

An online review in four languages (English, French, German and Spanish), ViaEuropea.eu aims to share considerations on artistic creation in European public space.

Beyond this summary, the review perpetuates and prolongs debates by means of workbooks to be downloaded and printed, a discussion forum, a directory of troupes and an e-newsletter.

For forty years, artists, organisers, elected representatives, spectators and academics have flirted with the question of performing arts and the city, of art and festivity, of artistic creation dedicated to public space, space and the public.

It is time for these issues to be explored on a European scale so that creation in public space becomes the subject of debate between operators speaking different languages and with different traditions, so that the experiences of one might enrich the thought process of another, so that this Europe under construction becomes the forum for discussion, for deeper thought and for openness to the rest of the world.
Because only an electronic medium is capable of providing easy access from each and every European country to a forum for reflection, Lieux publics in partnership with the IN SITU network and Le Fourneau has created a new tool to ensure that the European “street” calls at everybody's door.
