Tora Balslev is a performance artist and leader of the company Daily Fiction, and her work evolves around stimulating sense of connectedness.
With body and movement as her main tool, Tora invites audiences into other modes of sensing and being, exploring relationships with multi-species communities. Using choreographic and meditation strategies, Tora works with dissolving identity and limitations to evoke bodily experiences of connecting to walls, asphalt concrete and cell phone hardware. our surroundings, creating new layers of intimacy with entities such as brick walls, asphalt concrete and cell phone hardware.
Tora is driven by the necessity to create new forms of responsibility in relation to the changes in climate and species, a necessity to practise kinship in order to pave the way for regenerative action and inhabitation.
