Donika Rudi

Donika Rudi (1982) is a Kosovar composer specialized in acousmatic, electroacoustic music.

Rudi studied composition at Geneva Conservatory in: instrumental and electroacoustic music. She finished master at Royal Conservatorium of Mons, Belgium, respectively composition acousmatic music. 


Her most important works are: Contemporary Ballet “Life in Slow Motion”, premiered at the National Theatre in Prishtina; “The echoes of the Crying Earth” acousmatic piece;“Emotion Machine I and II”, supported by Federation Wallonie Bruxelles etc. She also composed music for numerous drama plays and films, documentaries and shorts. Her compositions have been performed in Albania, France, Columbia, Switzerland, Portugal, Australia, Bulgaria, Serbia, Canada, Spain, Belgium etc. Her compositions where transmitted on Radio Spain,France Musique, Dutch National Radio, “Sonema Lab”, Portugese National Radio. Since 2010 she is the member of FEBEME - BEFEM Belgium and a member of CEC (Canadian Electroacoustic Comunity).


She is also the acting Director of Prishtina International Music Festival – ReMusica, since 2010, and lecturer at the University of Pristina, Music Department.
