Biography

Enso Lab was founded in Kyiv in 2025 by two young actresses from Ukraine - Iryna Paniv and Varvara Hlukhovska. We started our path with research and training in physical theatre and now work mainly in theatre, physical theatre and performance.
Alongside our artistic practice, we are also educators. We work together at a university and teach young actors. Our work is based on body research, presence and performative practices. Exploring immersive formats is a new direction for us and is only beginning.
We develop interdisciplinary artistic processes and create performances both in theatre spaces and in non-traditional spaces. Through physical action, sound and interaction with the audience, we explore different themes, including embodied memory, social reality and human connection.

Artistic project

Our project focuses on human interaction through public space. Inspired by collective acts of support in Ukraine after destruction caused by war, we aim to reflect on solidarity, care and community as universal human values.
We plan to work in a damaged or neglected building and, through physical action, sound and performative tools, transform it into an immersive space where the audience becomes an active participant.
The project speaks not only about war, but about different forms of crisis -  natural disasters, social breakdown, or mental health struggles -  and asks how communities come together in moments of vulnerability. We aim to create an artistic gesture that invites the audience not only to witness destruction, but to feel the impulse to act: to support, to help, to connect.
