with Mission Arnold Schwarzenegger

Where others give up, we get started. We solve all the world’s problems - this time: the climate crisis. Our first target: cars. We terminate pollution. Like Arnold Schwarzenegger, terminator and climate hero. But: muscles, power, masculinity - seen too often, failed too often. KRA is taking over. Be part of our first action movie.

Mission Arnold Schwarzenegger is an interactive performance that can take place in various public or semi-public spaces. Together with the audience, we create a live film shooting - not as a film production in the classical sense, but as a performative situation that combines participatory storytelling, theatrical interaction, and staged cinematic imagery.

Each show is both a scene in a growing film and a standalone public experience. The audience is directly involved: some may become extras or part of the scene’s atmosphere, others help shape what is filmed or simply observe.
For each location, we write a new episode, responding to local conditions, stories, and spatial realities of the space. Every scene is part of the same evolving film, but each stands on its own, shaped by the place and the people present.

Audiences get a first glimpse of the filmed material at the end of each show and receive a link the following day to watch the scene again, along with episodes from other locations.

KRA joined PLATFORM in 2025. It was selected along with 9 other creations to participate in a coproduction support programme, offering residencies and programming opportunities for artists to thrive on a European scale. Their project evolves through the encounters with IN SITU programmers and European contexts.

KRA has been on two working residencies in Norway and France, continuing to develop their project Mission Arnold Schwarzenegger. During their time abroad, the focus wasn’t just on creation, but also on rethinking mobility. Exploring new options, testing alternatives and questioning how we move through the world.

The journey to Østfold Teater and Atelier 231 became part of the work.

In 2026, KRA are visiting the following partners:

> Østfold Teater (Norway)

> Atelier 231 (France)

> Oerol festival (the Netherlands)

> ODA Teatri (Kosovo)

> FiraTàrrega (Spain)

As well as two other festivals that are not part of the network but which encountered them through IN SITU catalogue:

> PIT (Norway)

> Passage (Denmark)
