LIFE Theatre Arts Media Festival

07 may. > 21 june.

Zona K

A new festival dedicated to the intersection of performing arts and journalism

LIFE is the new festival created by ZONA K, inspired by the iconic American photojournalism magazine Life and its direct gaze on reality. Like the magazine, the festival aims to reflect on the present through artistic languages capable of exploring the boundary between reality and fiction, truth and narrative.

LIFE presents a hybrid and contemporary theatre rooted in real data, blending performance, visual arts, cinema, journalism, science, and research. The festival becomes a laboratory for experimentation that investigates reality, redefines the role of the author, reimagines performance spaces, and opens itself to disciplines such as sociology, economics, urban planning, and technology.

At its core is a documentary and performative approach close to investigative practices, not to inform, but to provoke critical thinking, spark connections, and encourage the audience to actively interpret what they see.

LIFE is a meeting point for artists, journalists, activists, and audiences, a shared space to address today’s challenges through art as a tool for transformation.

The festival is made possible thanks to the collaboration of numerous cultural and institutional partners, both national and international, and to all those who believed in and contributed to this first edition.
