Biography

Move Ostrava is a performance collective that develops experimental, site-specific, and movement-based works engaging audiences across diverse environments. The practice investigates physical presence, collective attention, and the transformative potential of performance in everyday and unconventional spaces. Key works include Connecting/Stations, an interdisciplinary performance exploring rail environments and human interaction in transit contexts; Carpe(t) Diem Reloaded, a site-responsive, circus-inspired performative walk adaptable to unique indoor and outdoor locations; and The URGE, a site-specific work born from the need for movement and expression during long periods of lockdown.
The author of Eye’m, Michaela Králiková, works across physical theatre, contemporary dance, and immersive formats. Her long-term collaboration with Farm in the Cave has shaped her artistic language through a strong physical approach and collective creation process. Alongside her work as a performer, she develops experimental performative poetry readings and site-specific projects that soften the boundary between audience and performer. In collaboration with Move Ostrava, she participated in the creation process and performed in Connecting/Stations and Wild Geese, a project combining object work and acrobatics while exploring group dynamics inspired by movement in nature. Her practice merges a distinct physical theatre language with playfulness and a search for shared presence beyond traditional stage formats.

Artistic project

Eye’m is a movement-based installation created primarily for public space. Its central element is a large eye worn by performers as a headpiece, forming surreal and slightly absurd figures. The eye functions as a strong attention-holder, not only toward itself, but also toward space, architecture, objects, and the people present in the environment.
The performance lasts approximately 50 minutes and adapts to the character of each location. The “eyes” move through the space, slowly exploring it and drawing attention to its details. Moments of open interaction alternate with sections of prepared movement material shaped by the specific conditions of the site. Through a minimalist movement language based on precise gestures and rhythm, performers invite people to slow down and observe their surroundings from a different perspective.
Spontaneous audience reactions are an essential part of the work; performers respond to them and gently guide encounters toward a shared performative situation. The story develops through presence, curiosity, and interaction.
The current development focuses on expanding the project’s visual and movement language, exploring interactive objects, and experimenting with music or sound design. The project aims to transform everyday environments into spaces of encounter, imagination, and shared presence.
