Biography

OneTwoMany is a contemporary circus company founded in 2022, emerging from several years of close artistic collaboration. Rooted in partner and aerial acrobatics, object manipulation and digital arts, they create work that bridges disciplines and connects physical feats with conceptual clarity.

They passionately develop performances that merge experimental ideas with accessible, entertaining experiences. At the heart of their practice lies a fascination with trust, communication and collective responsibility — themes explored through participatory formats and emotionally intelligent circus language. Their creative process combines intuitive idea generation, critical reflection and strong structural composition, resulting in work that speaks both physically and conceptually.

The company’s repertoire spans full-length stage productions, street performances, site-specific and digital formats. Whether performing in theatres, public spaces or immersive settings, OneTwoMany invites audiences to move beyond passive spectatorship and become active contributors, transforming circus into a shared artistic experience grounded in movement, presence and human connection.

Artistic project

Don’t Forget to Breathe! is a two-person, outdoor, non-verbal contemporary circus performance exploring the relationship between breathing, awareness, and connection. The title refers both to our most basic life function and to a gentle reminder: pause, turn inward, give yourself time—while also noticing and connecting with the people around you.

In a world shaped by constant pressure and an endless flow of information, conscious breathing becomes a simple yet powerful tool—a kind of free superpower—capable of restoring inner balance. The performance explores this duality of breath as both physical necessity and mental instrument.

The performance unfolds around a geodesic dome (7 m in diameter, 4.3 m high) that serves simultaneously as stage, playground, and symbol. Evoking a fragile bubble, the structure can be climbed, hung from, and used for aerial work, allowing a fluid blend of partner acrobatics, dance, and aerial movement.

Accessible to all ages and designed as a 360-degree outdoor experience, the piece invites audiences beyond spectacle—toward a shared moment of presence. Don’t Forget to Breathe! becomes at once circus, physical theatre, and communal ritual: a celebration of the air we all share.
