Marking the start of a new four-year cycle for IN SITU

Lieux Publics and Oerol Festival are delighted to announce the IN SITU PLATFORM first public meeting, from June 17 to 19, 2025, on the island of Terschelling in The Netherlands.

Oerol Festival 2025
Oerol offers a rich programme for cultural professionals, providing opportunities to connect, exchange ideas, and explore site-specific work in context. From networking events and artist presentations to in-depth discussions, the festival is a key meeting place for those working in public space and landscape-based art.

International professionals programme
The international professionals programme will be held from 17 to 19 June, bringing together artists, programmers, and funders from across Europe and beyond. The three-day event is designed to celebrate the start of the project and to present it to a broad range of international professionals. In addition to a rich artistic programme, this international gathering will propose workshops and talks focusing on best practices in artistic development of emerging works and the importance of cross sector relationships with site-specific practices.

This event is the first public gathering of the PLATFORM project supported by the Europe Creative programme and is co-organised with Oerol Festival, a long-term and core partner of IN SITU.

Programme:

  • June 17 Festival meets context with an introduction of IN SITU, panels and interactive workshop
  • June 18 IN SITU partners' meeting where the outcomes of the activities implemented so far will be discussed and the next steps will be planned. It will be followed by a public session 'Connecting with IN SITU PLATFORM' from the lens of partners and artists.
