L'Art Rue

PLATFORM 2025-2028 Partner, member of IN SITU since 2025

L'Art Rue is a factory of innovation, creativity and research, welcoming artists, citizens, researchers and political players to co-create art forms that resonate with society.

Since its creation in 2006 by Selma and Sofiane Ouissi, joined later by Jan Goossens, L'Art Rue has defined itself as a factory of innovation and creativity, using art as a lever for social transformation in the heart of the Medina and downtown Tunis. This dynamic crossroads is a place where voices meet, territories interconnect and renew themselves, thus fostering the emergence of constantly evolving identities.

Conceived as an ample space for research and action, L'Art Rue welcomes artists, citizens, researchers and political actors to co-create forms of art in deep resonance with society. Art then becomes a bridge between generations, cultures, and territories, as well as a powerful tool to question our collective narratives and redefine our shared memory in the face of social challenges.

It is through this lens that our six transdisciplinary and intergenerational programmes come to life, nurturing a perpetual movement that reinvents the present and creates new horizons for our society.
