For 17 days every May, the Festival transforms Norfolk’s public spaces, city streets, venues, parks, forests and beaches, connecting people through powerful and inspirational arts events that take over the county. With the Festival drawing artists from around the world to perform, it provides enriching cultural experiences in the form of music, theatre, literature, visual arts, circus, dance and more.

The Festival continues to works year-round with schools, artists and communities to provide creative and cultural education to young people and those that would not normally have access to it.

In 2022 Norfolk & Norwich Festival celebrates its 250th year. Having initially started as a fundraising event for the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital, it has developed into an annual cultural celebration for the region. To mark the Festival’s 250th Year, a number of multi-year outreach projects have been developed as the Festival continues in its ambition to reach more and more communities across the county.
